My name is Evangelina Ledesma and I’m a woman-of-all-trades.

As a Language Specialist, I have experience in the following:

Translating and interpreting

I have translated spoken and written communications from English to Spanish and vice-versa for clients such as Lionbridge/Gengo, PGLS, Babelcube, Tolq, and independent publishing house Ediciones de la Terraza, as well as several private clients. I have also interpreted a few events unofficially.

Transcribing

I have transcribed audio and video recordings into written text. In my volunteer work with TED, I’ve also translated, proofread, and subtitled several TED talks.

Teaching language

I have experience in teaching English as a Second Language to secondary-level students at Escuela Normal Superior Alejandro Carbó, and as an ESL teacher for adults at Open English.

Meeting with clients

I have worked as a Bilingual Customer Service Representative, Sales Representative, and Business Development Account Lead.

Proofreading

I have worked as a proofreader for Revista Evaluar (Journal of the National University of Cordoba School of Psychology). I also proofread and edited literary works for a number of private clients.

Writing

I have written articles, short stories, poetry, and playwriting myself, and I have also coached other authors to help them put their ideas on paper.
